Welcome back to the Ignited Youth web site. I figured, now that we are back in school it is time to get back on track with this site. All of our Ignited pictures are now going to be hosted by a service called Flickr. This means it will be very easy to update. Also, we will soon be having other people post here so you won’t just be seeing me drone on by myself. So make sure you check back often. This is going to be a great year in Ignited. ~Tim

2 Chronicles 7:14-16 :

If my people who are called by my name would humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land. Now my eyes will be made open and my ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, thaty name may be there forever, and now my eyes and my heart will be there perpetually.

FUEL for July

Hey everyone! Its been a long time since I’ve posted… I added July’s Fuel song to the music player, so check it out. “Revival In The Land” by Carman. I believe this will be a very moving drama and it has the potential of bringing a lot of excitement to the congregation. The need for a spiritual revival in our church is very apparent, and so we need to pray that God uses our drama to spark the explosion.

Hugs or Slaps?

Click the ‘more’ button below and watch this video of a man giving free hugs and free slaps. Sure its funny, but there is so much reality in that. People are more likely to slap you than hug you. Even people who you think are the closest to you can end up slapping you harder than anyone else. So ask yourself this question: will you live your life as a slapper, or a hugger? Will you go against the flow and decide to be compassionate, or will you be another predictable person in the crowd- in it for youself and ready to make life hell for everyone else? Spiderman 3!

This Saturday, May 12 we are going to see Spiderman 3 and you are invited! All you have to do is show up and pay your ticket ($6.50- matinee price) and we will pay for popcorn and soda (bring your own spending money if you want candy or something else.) Bring a friend! Just come and have fun!

Believe You Are Saved

Hey friends. I hope you are having a good week of school. STAR testing should be over soon, but that means that you only have a few weeks left and you’re out for summer! Hang in there.

I’m writing today because I know that I’ve been going through some spiritual struggles and learned some lessons that may be useful for you. Many times in our walk with God, Satan is going to attack us and use lies to make you fall. For instance, when I first started raising my hands in worship, Satan would whisper, “This is not real- you are a phony. You’re not doing it right. You’re not worthy to praise God. You’ll only fail tomorrow.” And then I’d be discouraged and lose my sight of God.
